Shotcrisp hosts user-uploaded screenshots and recordings on unlisted scr.is links. We respond to copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and to other abuse reports as described below.
Send notices to our designated agent: dmca@shotcrisp.app. To be effective under § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
On receipt of a valid notice we act expeditiously: the material is removed or disabled, and the uploader is notified with a copy of the notice.
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to dmca@shotcrisp.app including: the removed URL(s); a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief the removal was a mistake; your name, address, and phone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Shotcrisp may be found) and to accept service of process from the notice sender; and your signature. Unless the original claimant informs us they have filed a court action within 10–14 business days, the material may be restored.
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Strikes are tracked per account; termination removes the account’s share links.
Under § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages.
For content that is illegal, harassing, violates someone’s privacy, or otherwise breaches our terms (but is not a copyright matter), email abuse@shotcrisp.app with the link URL(s) and a short description — or use the Report link on any share page. We review promptly, remove violating content, and disable accounts where warranted. For imminent-harm emergencies, contact local law enforcement first.
