Shotcrisp

Terms of Service

Effective 2026-08-06

Shotcrisp is a macOS screenshot/recording app with an optional cloud sharing service. By creating an account or uploading content you agree to these terms.

Acceptable use

Your content

You own what you upload. You grant us only the hosting/serving rights needed to make your share links work. Share links are unlisted but public — anyone with a link can view it.

Plans & devices

Paid plans are sold by Paddle, our merchant of record; Paddle’s checkout terms and refund policy apply. Cancelling stops renewal; paid features last until the period ends. The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase covering the lifetime of the product, with its plan’s storage quota.

Plans are per person and attach to your account, not a device: sign in on any of your Macs and your plan follows. Accounts are for one person — not for sharing a paid plan across a team.

Fair use

Cloud storage and bandwidth are for normal, personal screenshot and recording sharing, within your plan’s storage quota. Using Shotcrisp as generic file hosting, a CDN, or via automated bulk uploading isn’t allowed; we may rate-limit or suspend accounts whose usage threatens the service for everyone else, and we’ll contact you first when practical.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the fair-use policy, or the law; where practical we contact you first. When an account is disabled, its share links stop resolving. You can delete your account (and all its uploads) yourself at any time from Settings.

Service & liability

Provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We may modify or discontinue features; if the cloud service is ever discontinued, paying users get reasonable notice to export. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shotcrisp’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data beyond our reasonable backups. You are responsible for the content you upload and share.

Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced (release notes or email) and continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Purchases are additionally governed by Paddle’s buyer terms — Paddle is the merchant of record for all sales.
